Community Knowledge Transfer
The Community Knowledge Transfer Project involves identifying unique local knowledge assets or organisational ‘know-how’, and exploring the potential for it to be captured and commodified to generate income through digital assets.
Digital assets are web 2.0 platforms that harness local know-how and generate income to enhance social, economic and environmental outcomes through online community development and social enterprise activity.
We are currently supporting the exploration and development of digital assets with three established community organisations:
The groups we're working will document their learning and experiences throughout the project via the Community Knowledge Transfer website, to guide and inform others in the development of similar projects and, hopefully, inspire a new generation of digital and creative community start-ups across the country – each with strong local USPs.
